As a child, Lejla Dauti escaped genocide in Eastern Europe and moved to London with her family. Despite a fresh start, she grew up in a home filled with domestic violence and misogyny. In her early 20s, she entered a relationship with a seemingly loving man who soon became violent and coercive. After 8 years of abuse, Lejla found the strength to escape. Today, she shares her story to inspire and empower other women who have suffered at the hands of abusive partners.
