From phone snatchers and text message scammers to assault and robbery, crime pervades our day-to-day lives. With genuine accounts of real-life experiences, we hear straight from the source the true crime secrets that people hold on to. Each episode features first-hand reports from the mouths of people who have experienced real crime, be they bystanders or those who step in, victims or perpetrators. We hear about offences and their consequences both immediate and in the years after the event, as well as what the public think about crime more generally, the police force and the justice system. This series focuses on how common crime can be and how everyone has either experienced crime or knows someone who has.
