Intervention: the Heroin Triangle
In a collection of affluent suburban communities north of Atlanta called “The Heroin Triangle” the rise of the nation’s opioid crisis, from prescription pills to full-blown heroin epidemic, is documented through city officials, community leaders, and addicts themselves.
This season focuses on the journey of those plagued by their opioid addictions and their families who are left to pick up the pieces, as well as the city officials who are on the ground fighting as they attempt to intervene to save the lives of those affected as well as the surrounding community. The individual accounts of addicts, such as young parents, Billy and Tiffany, epitomise the chaotic effects of heroin addiction and highlight the desperate need for support during this national drug emergency.
