New series: Women on Death Row - Starts 23rd August

There are 2,738 inmates living on death row in America. Only 51 of them are women.

This new and exclusive series follows the stories of women who have been sentenced to the ultimate punishment - the death penalty. Women on Death Row gives full access to the journeys of these women, starting with the crimes and convictions that brought them to this position. Through never-before-seen footage from inside each prison, haunting recordings and first-person interviews, we navigate through the maze of death row to intimately witness these women’s stories.  Women On Death Row is available to stream on Crime+Investigation Play from 24th August.

Launching this week 'Cut to the Crime' is Crime+Investigation new digital series

The 10-part series transforms the hairdresser’s chair into a true crime confessional, where true crime survivors and reformed offenders confide their deepest, darkest secrets to hairdresser, James Busby. In the premiere episode, self-proclaimed 'one-man crime wave', Lewis Clark shares his experience of sharing a cell with his Dad. 'Robbed of justice': The murder of Lucie Blackman

When Kent woman Lucie Blackman went missing in Japan in 2000, it was the start of a mystery that made international headlines and draw attention to the terrible crimes of one of the world’s worst sex criminals.

It was in May 2000 that Lucie Blackman, a 21-year-old from Sevenoaks, arrived in Tokyo for what should have been a three-month adventure in one of the world’s most exciting cities. Lucie had previously worked as a flight attendant for British Airways, but – fed up with the arduous working hours, jet lag and mounting debt – she’d decided to find work as a club hostess in Tokyo’s glitzy Roppongi district.
