28th December 2023 - Gypsy Rose is released from prison in Missouri
Gypsy Rose was granted parole and released from Chillicothe Correctional Facility on 28th December 2023. Her then-husband, Ryan Scott Anderson, whom she married during her sentence, picked her up from prison, ready to start their new life together in Louisiana. Gypsy Rose served 85% of her 10-year stint.
Her release wasn’t all plain sailing. Details were soon leaked to the public, including plans to see Taylor Swift in Kansas. This event never happened as authorities advised that this would violate Gypsy’s terms.
5th January 2024 - An extensive media tour begins
The interviews come rolling in — and Gypsy Rose doesn’t hold back from describing the abuse she endured from her mother.
5th January 2024 marked Blanchard’s first interview post-release. She sat down with Good Morning America host Deborah Roberts. Within this interview Gypsy Rose discussed her new-found fame, how she’s dealing with marriage, and the support she’s been given by the public. She then gave interviews on The View and other popular news outlets.
9th January 2024 - Blanchard releases her first e-book
A few days after her first interview, Blanchard announced the release of her first e-book, Released: Confessions on the Eve of Freedom. The book documents Blanchard’s life before and after her conviction. It also includes personal transcripts, notes, and journal postings from her incarceration.
During this time, cracks in Blanchard’s marriage to Anderson begin to show.
March 2024 - She announced separation from Ryan Scott Anderson
Gypsy Rose Blanchard and Ryan Scott Anderson called it quits after less than two years of marriage — most of that time was when Blanchard was still incarcerated. The separation was announced in March 2024, and Gypsy Rose planned to live with her father and stepmother.
However, it was claimed that during this time Gypsy Rose was thought to be reconnecting with her ex-fiancé, Ken Urker. The pair were spotted several times together and even got matching tattoos.
April 2024 - Gypsy Rose confirms she’s dating Ken Urker
By the end of April 2024, Gypsy Rose officially confirmed she was back together with Ken Urker after he contacted her when she was released.
Blanchard told sources: 'After reconnecting earlier this month, we realized that our love for each other is simply undeniable, and life is too short not to take a chance.'
9th June 2024: Life After Lockup premieres in the US
The first season of Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up premiered, chronicling her transition from prison life to newfound freedom.
9th July 2024 - Gypsy Rose Blanchard announces her pregnancy
A few short months after Gypsy Rose and Ken Urker reconnect, she announces she is pregnant with her first child. She announced the news via a video on her YouTube channel. Although Gypsy Rose claims the pregnancy was not planned, she was extremely excited for the new arrival.
9th December 2024: Gypsy Rose and Ryan finalise their divorce
After eight months of separation, Gypsy Rose and Ryan finalised their divorce. Anderson did not attend the hearing initially because he did not seek the divorce.
28th December 2024: Gypsy Rose gives birth to a baby girl
Exactly one year after Gypsy Rose's release, she gave birth to a baby girl called Aurora Raina Urker. The couple chose the name Aurora due to a shared fascination with the Northern Lights.
