08 March - Ronnie and Reggie Kray are each given life for two murders

How many times the Krays killed has never been established. It was certainly more than the two murders for which they were sentenced on this day. But both Jack McVitie and George Cornell were killed in front of enough witnesses for the prosecution to think they would secure a result.
