12 July - Myra Hindley and Ian Brady kidnap, rape and kill their first victim

On this night in 1963, Pauline Reade looked pretty in pink as she slipped away from her parent’s home to go to a forbidden dance. Ian Brady had already tested Myra, to make sure she was capable of crime, by pretending that he was preparing for a robbery. When she did everything necessary, including passing her driving test so that she could be the getaway driver, Brady knew she was ready for the next stage.
