03 July - Serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer ends prison isolation and is attacked

Killer Dahmer was sentenced to 957 years in prison. At first, he was segregated. As his victims had all been male and he was now in an institution full of them, this was understandable. But inmates had less to fear from him, than he did from them. On integration, he was first attacked in the prison chapel. Despite this, Dahmer was not isolated again and he even took up prison duties. It was when Dahmer was on a cleaning detail that another prisoner crushed his skull and killed him...
