The jury in £2m Great Train Robbery retires to consider verdicts

Bruce Reynolds and his gang, including Buster Edwards and Ronnie Biggs, await the verdict of the jury. They’re accused of stealing £2.6m and assaulting the train driver in the early hours of 8 August 1963.

Evidence left at the gang’s alleged safe-house, a farmhouse close to the robbery, has been damning and the Crown is confident of convictions.
