We are at an inflection point in development within our business and are poised for significant investment to maximise revenue opportunities across the business. The Commercial Operations team, which includes both affiliate distribution and ad sales, is expanding rapidly and is looking for a commercially-minded, forward-thinking Head of Distribution to work alongside the current Head of Distribution (each with individually defined markets /geographies) to help continuing to drive this growth.

The London-based Head of Distribution will have responsibility for linear and non-linear network development across Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). The role suits a highly motivated individual with extensive experience in European television affiliate sales and distribution. The role requires hard-work, enthusiasm and adaptability

Key Responsibilities will include: Leading development, commercial negotiation and client servicing; working closely with the VPs and Directors to forecast revenue growth and plan budgets across existing and new business; Delivery of targeted revenues for each year – directly and through appointed agents in the territories; Working closely with the Sales Operations Executive and the Finance team track commercial performance (i.e. new deals and renewals); Establishing and maintaining relationships with the main platforms in the allocated territories; managing appointed representation agents in the territories and the preparation and monitoring of annual budgets and five year plans.

You will also have responsibility for: Overseeing the entire execution process; liaise with all parties to ensure successful fulfilment of deal from market research, sales pitch, negotiation, contract negotiation and final signature; to launch and ongoing marketing activity; Working closely with other department heads (Programming, Ad Sales, Operations and Marketing) to maximise affiliate revenue, customer relationship and satisfaction

As a matter of course the successful candidate would continually look for opportunities to profitably and rapidly expand distribution of the channels and grow existing relationships and extend into ancillary businesses and identify opportunities in the market and act quickly to secure new business.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate: A background of international TV distribution and channel development, preferably throughout CEE; A background in Affiliate Sales and possession of an established network of contacts in the specified CEE; Strong negotiation skills and ability to demonstrate previous track record in securing new business in highly competitive markets

You will have: Extensive and demonstrable experience and successes within an Affiliate Sales environment; an ability to communicate effectively with senior management and external international affiliates and contacts and will be a strategic individual with the ability to plan and prioritise effectively whilst managing multiple projects

You will possess excellent organisational and presentation skills; Excellent interpersonal, communication and written skills to effectively work with and convey key messages to senior management and external international affiliates and contacts and have a strong working knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel and Word
